Winifred M. Kimball, age 85 of West Branch, passed away Wednesday May 18, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw. She and her husband Gale moved to West Branch in 1956 where they owned and operated Kimball Glass for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and the First United Methodist Church in West Branch and was active in Little League and the Cub Scouts. She was an avid bowler. In recent years, she spent her winters in Florida. Her grandchildren had a special place in her heart. Winifred is survived by her sons, Gregory (Annette) Kimball, Ronald (Nancy) Kimball and Stephen (Laurie) Kimball all of West Branch and Jeffrey (Kelly) Kimball of Standish, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a special niece, Candace Sharp, her brother Ralph Saeger of Grand Blanc and her sisters, Lorna Heffelbower of Highland and Elaine Miller of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her husband Gale in 1991. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 1-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 1:30 p.m. John Belasco-Minister will officiate with burial following at Damon Cemetery.
