Wilma Jean Diffin, age 63, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2014 in Alger, MI with her loving family by her side. She was born to William and Alice (Rosenthal) VanSickle on March 14, 1951 in West Branch, MI. Wilma had lived in the Alger/West Branch area for her entire life. She was employed at K-Mart for over 25 years and retired in 2008. Wilma enjoyed gardening, camping, trail riding, arts and crafts, being outdoors, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends.
Wilma is survived by her husband, Harry Diffin of Alger; children: Amy (Troy) Huff of Alger, Jeannie (Donnie) Redmon of Grand Prairie, TX, Cricket (David) LaCross of Houghton, MI, James (Lisa) Cotton of Prescott, MI, Jerah (Scott) Moore of Alger, Tyler (Wendy) Rosebrugh of West Branch, MI, and Heather McKim of Galveston, TX; 18 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and she was the oldest of 11 children. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, granddaughter, and father in law.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate.
