William Victor Thiboult, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at MyMichigan Saginaw Hospital in Saginaw, MI, at the age of 87. He was born on June 15, 1937, in Detroit, MI to Wilfred and Gertrude (Lange) Thiboult. William lived a life rich with love, commitment, and passion for the outdoors.
William’s commitment to his country was reflected in his military service in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. This experience instilled in him values of duty and sacrifice that he carried throughout his life.
William’s professional journey took him to General Motors, where he built a successful career before retiring. His dedication to his work was matched only by his intense love for nature and the great outdoors. A member of the Grayling Sportsman Club, he spent countless hours engaging in his favorite hobbies: fishing, hunting, and golfing. These activities not only brought him joy but also served as a bridge to connect with family and friends, fostering relationships that spanned many decades.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Thiboult, daughters, Suzanne D-Aoust and Nicole Castro, as well as his stepdaughter, Joanne Figueroa, two grandchildren, and sister Marilyn Freeman.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
As we remember William Victor Thiboult, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man whose spirit touched those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, especially his family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
