William S. Parent

William S. Parent, age 78 of Prescott, passed away suddenly at his home on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Mr. Parent had lived in Prescott for all of his life. He was a member of the Masonic Temple and the Eastern Stars of West Branch. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. William is survived by his wife, Joyce Parent of Prescott, children Shirley Parent, Kimberly Parent and Andrea (John ) Hudson all of Prescott, grandchildren, Jonathan Hudson and Ashley (Shawn) Koettle and great-grandchildren, Prudence and Neiko. Also surviving are his brothers, Robert Parent and John Parent both of Hale, Jim Parent of Sand Lake, his sisters, Ruth Ann Borch of Detroit, Joanne Sanborn of Lincoln and Paula Carter of Hudson. He was preceded in death by his sister June Pilot, his uncles, Raymond Horning and Leighton Horning and his aunts, Ruth Bronson, Erma Miller and Lota Mae Provoast. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 4:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
