William C. Stierheim

Mr. Stierheim passed away at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He had been a resident of Alger since 1995, formerly of Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1963. He loved being on the water, sailing, computers and his grandchildren. Mr. Stierheim is survived by his wife Sandy of Alger, children--Stephanie Ericksen of Bay City, Mark Zastrow of Hemlock, Matt (Gayle) Zastrow of Lavergne, TN, Melinda Schaenzer of Saginaw, Michael (Lori) Zastrow of Midland, grandchildren--Alec, Devin, Alissa, Amanda, Kayla, Erin, Megan and Quinn, many nieces, nephews and friends. Also surviving are his sister, Zoey (Larry) Kuehn of Royal Oak, sister in laws Marge Hoffman of St. Helen and Evie (Doug) Armstrong of Kalkaska and brothers in law, Bob (Nancy) Stricker of Evart and Jim (Beth) Stricker of Florida. A Visitation will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Friday January 16, 2004 from 6-8 P.M. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Gift of Life, the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
