William "Bill" F. Hock

William F. Hock, age 69, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He was born to Kenneth and Georgia (Toops) in Birch Run, MI on September 13, 1945. On July 10, 1965, he married the love of his life, Karen J. Bragg in West Branch. Bill was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church where he was an usher. He was previously a Deacon and his passion in life was to be involved with church and to help anyone grow in Christ. Bill was an employee for Firstbank, now known as Mercantile Bank in West Branch for many years. He enjoyed cooking, woodworking, working on small equipment, machines, and helping anyone in need.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Karen of West Branch; children: William M. Hock of West Branch, and Michele R. (Steve) Miller of West Branch; grandchildren: Victoria (Tyler) Nelson, Gwen Miller and Alexandria Miller; great grandchild, Spencer, and one due in March 2015; brother: Kenneth R. Hock; and nieces and nephews: Teena (Mike) Crane, Kenny Hock, and Dale Hock. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert and Jack and sister in law, Kathy.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Calvary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Tom Teall will officiate.
