William A Krueger, 66 of West Branch, MI passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 surrounded by those he loved after a short battle with cancer.
Bill was born in Detroit on September 25th, 1951 to Edward and Dorothy (Cichy) Krueger. He grew up with a love of dirt bikes, fast car’s and spending time in Northern Michigan. He moved his family to West Branch and enjoyed 38 years of outdoor living. Bill worked as a superintenant for JR Heinemann & Sons Inc. out of Saginaw, MI. He was a member of the Carpenters Local 706, Laborers Local 1098 and the Clear Lake Fire department.
Bill was an avid hunter, fisherman and an expert carpenter. He took immense pride in the things he built and passed on a 3rd generation builder’s knack to his son, his sons in law and his grandkids. He was known for always lending a hand or offering help. There wasn’t a motor he couldn’t work on or a project he couldn’t solve. In his free time, he could often be found tinkering in his garage. After retirement, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of building, showing and racing a hot rod.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids; whether it was teaching them how to rebuild a motor, working at their house or hosting grand tea parties. Grandpa was loved dearly and will be missed.
Bill is survived by Leslie Krueger; his children Tammy (George) Patterson of West Branch, Bill Krueger Jr. of Standish, MI, Rachel (Justin) Padula of Coventry, CT; Grandchildren Maranda, George, Greg, Adrienne, Payton, Mia & Marcus. He is survived by his father Edward (Terry) Krueger and brothers Mark (Linda) Krueger of Fenton, MI, Edward (Candice) Krueger of Shelby Township, MI, & John Krueger of Warren, MI. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy (Cichy) Krueger and his sister Laura (Krueger) Signorello.
A heartfelt thank you to the Nursing Staff and Doctors at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of West Branch. A special thank you to Lynda Goff, Gail Perkins and Barb.
