Wayne Bernard Lehman

Wayne Bernard Lehman, age 73, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at his home in West Branch, MI surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, November 3, 1950, in West Branch to George and Lauretta (Smith) Lehman.

Wayne attended West Branch High School and was a member of the first class of Ogemaw Heights High School, although he never stepped foot in the new building. He furthered his education at Kirtland Community College, earning an associate degree in drafting.

Throughout his life, Wayne had a diverse career. He worked at A&P Store in West Branch, Osceola Refinery, Morgan Auto Paint in Livonia, and drove truck for Griffin Beverage. Wayne was a volunteer firefighter for many years and a member of the Knights of Columbus #2022, where he achieved the rank of 3rd degree.

Wayne was a man of faith and worshipped at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He found solace and community in his religious beliefs.

In his free time, Wayne enjoyed hunting, carpentry work, playing cards, and working outdoors. These hobbies brought him joy and allowed him to express his creativity and love for nature.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Susan Lehman of West Branch, and his children: Amanda Lehman of West Branch, Cherie Lehman of Rose City, MI, Paul Lehman of West Branch, and Alexander Lehman of West Branch. He was also a proud grandfather to Jason and Jeffery Guoan. Wayne is survived by his sisters, Lois Jandernoa of Grand Rapids, MI, and Carol Zakaras of Homewood, IL.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lauretta Lehman, his sister Joan Lehman, his brother Don Lehman, and his grandson Timothy Guoan.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
