Walter Frederick Rice

Walter Frederick Rice, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He had lived in the Rose City, MI area since 2006, formerly of Westland, MI. Walter was born on March 19, 1934 in Detroit, MI to William and Ellen (Biddle) Rice. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and enjoyed woodworking and being outdoors.

Walter is survived by his daughter, Pennie Corder of Lupton, MI; grandchildren, Jennifer (Andrew) Preston of Yale, MI and Keri Corder of Bay City, MI; brother, Bill (Bertie); sisters, Phyllis and Barb; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Florence and daughter, Dawn Bloomfield.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Rose City Cemetery. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate.
