Walter E. Reetz

Walter E. Reetz, passed away June 2, 2008 at the West Branch Regional Medical Center he was 89 years old. He has been a resident of West Branch all of his life. He was a member of the VFW Rose City Post #6486, The Holy Family Catholic Church, the KofC Council #8948 of Klacking Creek, the AM Vets of Rose City, he was also a member of the Farm Bureau Association. Walter is survived by his children Nancy (Dennis) Goff of Lake City, Phyllis Rice of Standish, Ellen (Reid) Rosebrugh of West Branch, Stephen (Rita) Reetz of West Branch, Kevin Reetz of Cadillac, Mark (Cindy) Reetz of Grayling, Andrew Reetz of Lupton, Anthony (Heather) Reetz of Kalamazoo, and Kathleen (Michael) Hart of West Branch. His fourteen grand children; and twenty one great grand children and his sister Laura Walters of West Branch. Walter is preceded in death by his wife Barbara, three sons, Leonard, Christopher and Edward, his sisters Edwina McDowell, Thelma Brick, Margaret Zettel, and Georgina Winter and brothers Calvin Reetz, Dennis Reetz, Warren Reetz, and Christopher Reetz Visitation for Walter will be held on Wednesday June 4, 2008 from 4-9 PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church. A scripture service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:30PM. Burial will follow at the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Father Miro D. Wiese OFM will officiate.
