Wallace William Taurianen

Wallace William Taurianen, age 84, passed away unexpectedly at his home in West Branch on Monday, July 6, 2020. He was born on February 5, 1936 in Baraga, MI to Andrew and Siama (Heikkinen) Tauriainen. Wallace lived in West Branch since 1990, formerly of Troy. He was a local contractor and owned Family Homes and Finn Drywall. He was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors and working in his yard. Wallace cherished and loved his children, grandchildren and pets.

Wallace is survived by his daughter, Laura (Ron Watson) Taurianen of West Branch; grandchildren, Andrew, Jacquelyne, Nichole, Jeremy, Tricia, Kyle and Austin; great grandchildren, Natalie, Jack, Noah, Aria, Julian and Aubrey; sister, Laila; and daughter-in-law, Dawn Taurianen. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Christine, and sons, Wallace Jr. and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ogemaw County Humane Society.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
