Viola M. Neubecker, age 89 of West Branch, passed away Sunday November 14, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw. Viola had lived in West Branch since 2002, formerly of Rose City. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the CCW and St. Ann’s Guild, also a member of Arc (Association of Retarded Citizens.) She worked for many years as a cook for the Kountry Kitchen in Rose City. Viola is survived by her children, Marvin Neubecker, Doreen Sutherlund, Calvin (Cheryl) Neubecker, Jerry Neubecker, Virgil (Joan) Neubecker, Dallas (Cathy) Neubecker, Randy (Gloria) Neubecker and Sharol (Mark) Dantzer, 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Willard (Irvadene) Wangler of West Branch and her sister, Marlene (Roy) Wiltse of Rose City. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Neubecker, her son Gregory Neubecker, grandson, Craig Neubecker, her parents, Ed and Alma Wangler and her brothers, Delbert and Burt Wangler. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 1-9 p.m. There will be a Rosary led by the CCW at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, November 18, 2010, Viola will lie in state at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Fund.
