Vickie L. Coward

Vickie L. Coward age 62 of Prescott, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Vickie had lived in Prescott since 2003, formerly of Bay City. She was a member of the American Legion and she enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, cooking, baking making blankets and dolls and could make people laugh. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Vickie is survived by her son Mark (Carrie) Slaughter of Vancouver, WA, step-daughter Samantha Meir and step-son Jamie Meir both of Prescott, MI grandchildren Crystal, Tiffany, Jamie, Meki, Zoeyanna, Kayden, and Jayce. Her great-granddaughter Deada. Also surviving is her significant other Vernon Meir of Prescott, her sisters Lynn (Clayton) Sass of Marysville, WA, Debbie (Nick) Herivel of Everett, WA and Sheri (Pat) Boober of Marysville, WA, her brother Tom (Vickie) Coward of Stanwood, WA, her stepmother Sandy Coward of Granite Falls, WA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Coward and Ruth Swain. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011 until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Fund.
