Vera Ruth Williamson

Vera Ruth (Stanchfield) Williamson, 85, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at McLaren Bay Regional Medical Center, surrounded by family.

Vera was born November 11, 1934 to Walter and Bertha Stanchfield in Midland, MI. She married Arthur Williamson Sr. on November 29, 1950. They raised four children in many different cities across Michigan and in Texas. She spent many years as a nurse for geriatric facilities and enjoyed volunteering at the hospital gift shop.

Vera was a loving mother, grandmother, and GG. She is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie (Don) Baldridge and Lois (Jeff) Thompson. Grandchildren; Todd (Wendy) Henry, Jason (Corinna) Henry, Mike (Angela) Ritter, Josh Thompson, Megann Thompson, Alyssa (Adam) Bodrie, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Vera was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur Williamson Sr., son, Arthur Williamson Jr., daughter, Melodie Henry, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

She will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

The Funeral Service will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pastor Helen Alford will officiate.
