Velta (Tillie) Parker

Velta E. (Tillie McKeage ) Parker, age 79 of St. Helen passed away at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community in Houghton Lake on Saturday March 12, 2011. Tillie had lived in St. Helen since 2006, formerly of Roscommon and Port Huron. She was a member of the Eastern Stars of Roscommon and the Moose Lodge. She loved walking, exercise classes, sewing and crocheting. Tillie is survived by her children, Ken (Bea) McKeage of the Upper Peninsula, Tim (Frankie) McKeage of Houston, TX and Colleen (David) Austin of St. Helen, grandchildren, Patrick, Scott, Melissa, Jessica, Nathan, Morgan, Kristen and Tarynn and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Vern, Marv, Ed and Gerald and her sisters Lolita and Polly. She was preceded in death by her first husband Chet McKeage, her second husband John R. Parker, her son Michael McKeage, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 from 3-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
