Velma E. Sylvester

Velma E. Sylvester passed away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at her home, she was 87 years old. Velma has been a resident of Rose City since 1993 previously of Detroit. Velma worked on the line for Ford Motor Company during World War II. She enjoyed collecting baskets, hunting and being outdoors. Velma is survived by her brothers Glenn (June Ann) Sylvester of Garden City and Robert H. Sylvester of Prescott. She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Agnes (nee: Leaske) Sylvester; brothers John and Roy Sylvester and sisters Mary Dorr, Florence Sylvester, Arlyne Kniskern, and Ruth Sylvester. Visitation will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City on Monday September 29, 2008 from 9-11AM. The Funeral will also be held Monday September 29, 2008 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Pastor Daniel Stoneback will officiate.
