Valerie Prissilla Jenkins

Valerie Prissilla Jenkins, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at her home in West Branch. She was born on December 16, 1964 in Detroit to Joseph and Bernice (Skrowanski) Kowalski. Valerie lived in West Branch since 1992, formerly of Detroit. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch and the St. Francis Catholic Church in Detroit. She enjoyed traveling, music and gardening.

Valerie is survived by her daughters, Amanda (Jerry) Kosecki of Germantown, TN and Megan Jenkins of West Branch; sisters, Linda (Tony) Jarrell and Michele Jarrell both of West Branch; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kowalski, mother, Bernice Carreon and brother, Gregory Carreon.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.

Memorial Contributions can be made to Claws and Paws Rescue in West Branch.
