Troy D. Brindley, age 42 of Prescott, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Medilodge of Sterling after a three year battle with cancer. Troy had lived in Prescott for the past 18 years, formerly of West Branch. In high school, Troy enjoyed his machine shop class which led him into his first job at West Branch Industries along with working at Miller Farms, Miller Construction and the Schmitt Dairy Farm. In 1994, Troy and his wife Pam purchased the Schagel Family Dairy Farm which was named a Michigan Centennial Farm 18 years ago. Troy enjoyed drag racing, mechanics and working on cars, dirt bikes, tractors, hunting, traveling and Drummond Island trips. He was a scorekeeper for kids sports and always enjoyed the youth hunt. Troy is survived by his wife Pam Brindley of Prescott, children, Janelle Brindley, Kelby Brindley and Hayden Brindley all of Prescott, his father Larry (Sally) Brindley of West Branch, his mother Deborah Rosebrugh of West Branch, father-in-law Charlie Schagel of Prescott, brother Eric Brindley (Denise Bowman) of West Branch, sister Jessica (Kevin) Zettle of West Branch, and siblings, Mike Muzik of Prescott, Peggy Graves of Gladwin, Tony (Becky) Rosebrugh of West Branch, Todd Rosebrugh (Stacy Kartes) of West Branch and Wendy (Bill) Tuttle of West Branch. Also surviving is his grandmother, Florine Antcliff (Bruce Bentley) of Gladwin, his sisters-in-law Kathy (Doyle) David and Vicki (Mark) Rau both of West Branch and Rose Shiel of Escanaba and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Tom Rosebrugh, his mother-in-law Sheila Schagel and his grandparents, Loren and Margaret Brindley and Kelly Antcliff. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, December 1, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 1-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the funeral home. Rev. Lonnie Severance will officiate with burial following at Selkirk Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
