Anthony John Jameson, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home in West Branch, MI. Tony was born on September 5, 1971 in West Branch to Roger Jameson and Janet (Quick) Jameson. Tony was a lifelong resident of West Branch, and a 1990 graduate of Ogemaw Heights High School. After high school, he worked for the Schmitt and Ronnie Wangler Dairy Farms, where he learned the value of hard work. Tony started driving semi-truck working for different companies through the years, and then started his own company, Jameson Transport. His work took him all over the state and country hauling just about everything you could think of, from lumber, to potatoes, and asphalt. Tony enjoyed the outdoors, loved camping with family, bowling, horseback riding, accessorizing his trucks, and playing with his tractors. He loved family gatherings and always had that big grin on his face, and twinkle in his eye. He was the ultimate jokester and loved to make kids laugh. Tony attended Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church and was proud to be part of that family. He attended several mission trips to Honduras and had a special place in his heart for the friends he made there. He will be forever missed, and never forgotten by all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his daughter Jena Jameson of West Branch, grandchildren Olivia and Jase. His father Roger (Jean ) Jameson, of West Branch, his mother Janet (Ronnie Wangler ) Jameson of West Branch, his sisters Bonnie (Mark) Matthews of Twining, and Terry (Kevin) McDonald of Alger. He is also survived by his ex wife Bonnie Jameson of West Branch, his nieces and nephews Mike (Jess) Matthews, Kimberly Messer, Mark “Dewey” (Darian) Matthews, Darrin Messer, and Emma McDonald, along with 2 great nephews, and many, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents Earl “Jake” and Lillian Jameson and Charlie and Jean Quick, all of West Branch.
Tony’s wishes were to be cremated.
