Thomas Nelson Craine Sr.

Thomas Nelson Craine Sr., age 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at MidMichigan Medical Center in West Branch. He was born on October 10, 1953 in Flint, MI to Richard and Jean (Smith) Craine. Tom lived in St. Helen for the past 7 years, formerly of Waterford, MI.

Tom graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint and enlisted in the United States Navy. He worked for General Motors, retiring after 28 years of employment. He was a member of the American Legion Post #416 in St. Helen, Moose Lodge and Eagles both in West Branch, Ogemaw VFW and the VFW in Flint. He also was a member of the UAW and the NRA. Tom enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, hunting, music, playing the harmonica and NASCAR. He especially loved the time with his grandchildren and family.

Tom is survived by his children, Amber (Erik) Reuther of Flushing, Thomas Craine of Lake Odessa, and John Craine of White Lake; grandchildren, Avaya, Cooper, Alexander, and Acacius; mother, Jean Craine of Flushing; brother, Richard (Pam) Craine II; sister, Kelly (Pat) Putnam; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place.
