Thomas Mckelvey

Mr. McKelvey passed away at his home. He had been a resident of West Branch since 1991, formerly of Tawas. He was a former Coach of the Year, 2001, for the West Branch Little League and an umpire for softball. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved all sports and was a devoted husband and father and friend to many. Tom is survived by his wife, Kristi of West Branch, children Jessica McKelvey and Matthew McKelvey both of West Branch, his mother Joyce McKelvey of Whittemore, his brother Cliff (Darla) McKelvey of Tawas, sisters--Mary (Tom) Murphy and Barbara (Tom) Miller both of Tawas, Sandra Briggs of Grand Rapids and Debra McKelvey of Arizona, sisters in law--Cari (Kevin) of Ypsilanti and Traci (Paul) Baker of St. Helen, his father in law Donald Reed and grandmother Lila Dunbar both of West Branch. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and a great-nephew who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford McKelvey and his mother in law, Carrol Reed. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in begin on Tuesday October 14, 2003 from 1-9 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Miller will officiate with burial following at Campbell Corner Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the West Branch Little League.
