Thomas Calvin Wallace, age 81, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI. He was born to Vandon and Sadie Wallace on August 25, 1933 in Centreville, AL. Tom had lived in the Prescott area since 1969, formerly of Detroit, MI. He was a past member of the Masons, Music in the Park, and past president of the Lake Ogemaw Lake Association. Tom had owned and operated Tom’s Small Engine which started at Lake Ogemaw Marina where he also owned and operated the grocery and convenience store. He sold and repaired chainsaws and snowmobiles. Tom enjoyed country music, traveling, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and gardening.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Marlene Wallace of Prescott, MI; sons: Thomas (Helen) Wallace Jr. of Wyandotte, MI, David (Pat) Wallace of Detroit, MI, Daniel (Diane) Wallace of FL, John Baggett of Romulus, MI, Richard (Jane) Baggett of WI, Douglas Wallace of West Branch, MI, Steven (Andrea) Wallace of West Branch, MI, and Robert Wallace of St. Helen, MI; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ruth Wallace in 2007.
Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, February 6, 2015 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Gene Kelly will officiate. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Ogemaw Senior Center and New Harvest Community Church.
