Sylvester Marchies Arntz

Sylvester Marchies Arntz, age 90, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at The Villa at Rose City. He lived in Rose City all his life. Sylvester was born on December 9, 1930 in Rose Township, Ogemaw County, MI to Manley and Hazel (Thayer) Arntz. He worked as a foreman for Larry K Company in Lupton and did construction side jobs. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and building.

Sylvester is survived by his children, Matthew Arntz of Rose City, Thomas (Dawn) Arntz of Rose City, Rose (John) Chapman of Lapeer, Brad Arntz of Flint, and Kathy (David) Brookshire of West Branch; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Donald Arntz of Lupton and Johnny Arntz of Rose City; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Delores, and siblings, Oscar, Louis, Iva, Eva, Donna Fae and Daniel.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
