Susan K. Stroik

Susan K. Stroik, age 66 of the Higgins Lake/Roscommon area, passed away at McLaren Bay Region on Sunday, February 3, 2013. Susan had lived in Roscommon for the past 10 years, formerly of Ogemaw County. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch, Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Saginaw and attended Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen. Susan was a member of the West Branch Optimist Club for the past 16 years and she enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, being outdoors and traveling to the Upper Peninsula. Susan is survived by her husband Jerry of Higgins Lake and her children Brian Stroik of Commerce Township and Stacy (Joe) Pigeon of Roscommon and 2 grandchildren Paige and Ella. Also surviving are her sisters Jane (Bill) Vickery and Cathy Locker both of Newago and Carole Spangler of Saginaw and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Pearl Fischer. Visitation at the Hope Lutheran Church in St. Helen will begin on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Rodney Morrison will officiate.
