Stephen Florian Obuchowski

Stephen Florian Obuchowski, age 80, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. He was born on December 9, 1941 in Detroit, MI to Stephen and Mary (Nagowski) Obuchowski. Steve lived in West Branch since 2020, formerly of Troy.

Steve retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. He served in the United States Army in Germany from 1964-1966.

Steve was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting with brother Cass and nephews Brian, Mike, and Mark. He also enjoyed sports like bowling and playing baseball with the Fugawee Baseball Team. Traveling was another passion he enjoyed. Steve would camp throughout the US in addition to Germany and Ireland.

Steve was a great uncle and friend to all and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. He will be missed!

Steve is survived by his brothers, Casmir (Leona) Obuchowski of St. Helen and John Obuchowski of NC; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Helen Perinjian, and companion, Doris Bednar.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Deacon Glen Painter will officiate. Burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
