Stanley J. Krogulecki

Stanley J Krogulecki of Lapeer, Michigan, passed away with his family at his side in the comfort of his own home at the age of 76. Stan was survived by his children Kathryn (Josh) Brunner and Kevin Krogulecki, along with brothers Conrad and Michael (Lisa), and sister Mary Ann Martin, grandchildren Braden, Brooklyn and Anabella.

Stan lived a full and purposeful life which began in Livonia, MI. His journey led him to attend Orchard Lake St. Mary’s High School where he was a five varsity letter athlete with an exceptional baseball career garnering significant interest from major collegiate programs and professional organizations. Stan forewent these opportunities to follow his passion of helping others and joined the seminary, eventually leading to the priesthood within the Detroit Diocese. After over a decade serving in the priesthood, Stan left the church to continue his passion of helping others as a substance abuse counselor in the Detroit area.

Stan married and relocated north to West Branch, MI where he began his life as a father to his two children, and husband to his wife Barb. He continued his career of counseling and eventually entered the real estate business, remaining active in his community through St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Stan enjoyed many hobbies, but especially golf where he spent his time with friends at the West Branch Country Club. He was also active in coaching his young kids in various sports and remained a volunteer for their high school sporting events.
Stan eventually relocated to Lapeer, MI and was a major care provider for his mother Mary along with his other siblings in her final days. Stan lived a life full of helping others and was able to continue teaching these ways to his three grandchildren and others throughout the rest of his life. The many lives that Stan impacted and his willingness to serve others will not be forgotten.

He will be resting at the L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, 8809 Wayne Rd. (at Joy Rd) on Thursday, September 5, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Stanley's Funeral Mass will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at St. Michael Catholic Church, 11441 Hubbard Rd (at Plymouth Rd).
