Shirley M. Winter

Shirley M. Winter, age 86, of West Branch, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Shirley had lived in West Branch since 1976, formerly of Lansing. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was the former owner of Carl’s Bar, now known as the Wagon Wheel. Shirley is survived by her step-daughter, Carla Jean (Fred) Merschman of Haslett, grandchildren, Mark Lock of Okemos , Chris Lock of Rudyard and Lori Merschman of Muskegon, great-grandchildren, Adam, Kati, Ann and Danny and great-great grandchildren, Emma and Benjamin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1997. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Robert Bissot will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
