Shirley Ann Ryan

Shirley Ann Ryan, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in her home at the age of 88 surrounded by her loving family. Shirley was born on October 3, 1934 in Bay City, MI to Frank and Thelma (Ordiway) Beach.

Shirley and her late husband Milford formerly from Akron, MI moved to St. Helen in 1998 after retiring. She was a member at the VFW in Fairgrove, MI. In their younger years Shirley and Milford enjoyed traveling, camping and hosting family gatherings. Shirley enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and playing cards with her family.

Shirley is survived by her children, Connie (Bobby) Melvin of Center Hill, FL, Donnie (Audrey) Ryan of Tustin, MI, Cindy (Late Steve) Irvine of Cass City, MI, Peggy (Walter) Arnaiz of Rose City, MI, Michael (Meta Wegener) Ryan of Winser, MI, and Milford Ryan of St. Helen; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren; sister, Helen (Jerry) Hollister of Alger, MI; and brother, David (Jeannie) Beach of Sebewaing, MI.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Milford Ryan in 2001.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to help fund a memorial for Shirley and Milford at Island Lake Campground where they spent their summers and later acted as campground hosts for many years.

A memorial service for the family will be held at a later yet to be determined date.
