Shirley Ann Hosted

Shirley Ann Hosted, age 72 of West Branch, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Shirley was born on July 22, 1942 to Willard and Louise Whitfield in Burnsville, MS. She had lived in West Branch since 1979, formerly of Ypsilanti, MI. Shirley was a member of the Rifle River quilt guild. She also loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and was a doting mother to all her children’s friends.

Shirley is survived by son, Richard McCord of Ypsilanti, son, Jody McCord of Adrian, son. Michael McCord of West Branch, son, Donald (Lisa) Hosted of West Branch, son, Jonathan Hosted of West Branch, daughter, Tanya (Brian Buhlman) Lyle of West Branch, grandchildren, Melissa, Ronnie and Daniel, Nadia, Naomi, Ariya, Kobe, Jonathan, Adalyn, Rachel, Patrice, and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brother, Charles (Sue) Whitfield of Florence, AL, brother, Jerry (Terry) Whitfield of Willis, MI, and sister, Judy Jones of Westland, MI. She is preceded in death by parents, Willard and Louise Whitfield, and daughter, Sherry Shepherd.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 5-8 PM.
