Shirley A. Pettibone

Shirley A. Pettibone, age 62 of Whittemore, passed away Thursday July 1, 2010 at her home. Shirley recently moved to Whittemore from Royal Oak. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Blue Cross-Blue Shield of Michigan Retirees Association. She enjoyed crocheting, canning, sewing, looking for antiques and going to Vegas. Shirley is survived by her children, Joe (Christine) Pettibone of Mancelona, Kirk Pettibone of Whittemore and Jamie Pettibone (Bill Edwards) of Shelby Township and her grandchildren Laura and Samantha. Also surviving are her sisters, Anna Marie (Chuck) Hukel of Belleville, IL and Mary Lou (Bob) Carter of Brighton, IL, her brother Philip (Maryanne) Buettner and her sister in law, Ruby Buettner both of Belleville, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph William Pettibone in 2009, her parents, Frank and Marie Buettner, her brothers, Francis Buettner and Richard Buettner, her sister, Marcella Milligan and her mother in law, Anna Pettibone. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
