Sherry Jewell Miracle Brooks

Sherry J. Miracle Brooks, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her home in Lupton, MI surrounded by her family. She was born on March 21, 1954, in Flint, MI to George and Barbara (Sharp) Miracle.

Sherry enlisted in the United States Navy in 1975 and traveled all over the world for 20 years. She retired in 1995 from the US Navy as a Command Master Chief. She fulfilled retirement dreams and moved to the Miracle family acreage in Lupton, MI. Sherry spent time golfing, riding the trails on the tractor, sewing, and chasing her dog, Finnegan.

Sherry was an active member in the Fort Calhoun community for Honor Guard, TTT, and Girl Scouts. She was a proud grandma and enjoyed crafting, outdoor activities, being funny and silly, and supporting all sports and activities.

Sherry is survived by her daughter Grayce L. McLaughlin of Fort Calhoun, NE; son Thomas (Christine) Brooks of Fort Calhoun, NE; grandchildren Bella McLaughlin, Annaleigh McLaughlin, Owen Brooks, Genevieve Brooks, Joseph Brooks; and sisters Angela Miracle, Kate Malson, and Sue Ladner.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald “Jerry” Brooks, sister Lisa Miracle Roberson, and brother Michael Miracle.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
