Sharon Lee Galea, age 79 of West Branch, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Sharon had lived in West Branch since 1976. Sharon was a business woman who started up 8 successful businesses from antiques to imports to pizzerias. Most recently Sharon served as CEO of G’s Pizzerias. She was a great advocate of Right to Life and Food for the Poor. Family unity was so imperative to Sharon and she inspired all those that she knew. Sharon is survived by her husband of 63 years, Arthur C. Galea, her children, Michael (Cynthia) Galea of Sterling Heights, Alfred (Patricia) Galea of Macomb, Mark (Julia) Galea of Kalkaska, Christopher (Martha) Galea of West Branch, Paul (Shelly) Galea of East Tawas and Donna (Brad) Urbach of Houghton Lake. 25 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by a son Matthew. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from 1-9 p.m with a Rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday August 20, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Crisis Pregnancy Center.
