Santina Nasser, age 76, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. She had lived in Maple Valley since 1972, formerly of the Detroit Area. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church and the CCW, the Red Hat Society and she enjoyed crocheting, sewing and cooking. Most of all, she loved her family—her family was her world. She took children under her wing and was known as “Ma Nasser.” Mrs. Nasser is survived by her children, Diana (Jack Quinton) Fry of Redford, Linda (John) O’Connor of Roseville, Jo Ann (Daniel) Milliken of Dearborn Heights, Sharon (Bryan) Stanley of St.Helen, Ronald (Kim) Nasser of Goldsboro, NC, James (Betsy Crevier) Nasser of Houghton Lake, Annette (Paul) Watrous Prudenville, Michael (Nicci) Nasser of Gaylord, and Robert (Dina) Nasser of Pickford, 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Valeria Pascuzzi, her brother Mario Purgatori and many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, April 13, 2008 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14. 2008. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bortz Health Care of West Branch.
