Samuel Tabayoyong, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. He was born on August 23, 1953 in the Philippines to Florido and Pastora (Nipales) Tabayoyong. Samuel had lived in West Branch since 1976. He married Cheryl Bellows on November 29, 1984 in West Branch. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. Samuel enjoyed bowling, hunting, was an avid pool player, and raising animals. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed playing with them.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl Tabayoyong; children, Samantha Tabayoyong, Tabatha Tabayoyong, Selina (Robert) Goulette, and Myell (Joe) David; grandchildren, Jaxson Goulette, Zander Goulette, Natalie Goulette, Nathan David, Raiden David, and Kairi David; mother, Pastora Tabayoyong; sisters, Vivian (Christopher) Fratine and Maricor (Edward) Meyers; brothers, Arthur (Melinda) Tabayoyong and Jimmy (Christine) Tabayoyong; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Florido and brother, Jessie.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hale, MI. Father Patrick Maher will officiate.
