Ruth Esther Trapp

Ruth Esther Trapp, died August 15, 2016 at the age of 98 with loved ones by her side. Preceded in death by her dear husband of 52 years, Howard Trapp. Ruth is survived by her three children, Gerald (Lois) Trapp, Karen (John) Hayes and Conrad (Linda) Trapp. Also, three grandchildren, Rebecca (Scott) Dawson, Michael Trapp and James (Bethe) Hayes. Also, her two precious great grandchildren, Ava Dawson and Harrison Hayes. Also, her brother-in-law, Ray Sevakis, and many cherished nieces and nephews and their extended families. Also, her loving and caring neighbors, Mike and Debra Cervantes. Ruth was a beautiful, loving woman with a strong Christian faith that she loved to share with others. She touched the hearts in some special way of everyone she met. Ruth loved her family, volunteering at church, sharing her delicious baked goods, gardening, and always had a vibrant smile on her face. She will be in our hearts forever and will be greatly missed.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch, MI will begin on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will then continue following the service until 5:00 p.m. Rev. Howard Travis will officiate. Burial at Glen Eden Cemetery, Garden of Hope, in Livonia, MI will be held on Monday, August 22, 2016 with the Committal Service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Memorial Contributions can be made to St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch, MI, Grace Lutheran Church in Redford Twp., MI, JDRF-Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor of her great grandchild, and Myasthenia Gravis Foundation in honor of her granddaughter.
