Russell Edward Buhlman

Russell Edward Buhlman, age 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at The Villa at West Branch with his family by his side. A lifelong resident of West Branch, Michigan, he was born to Clarence and Beatrice (Doran) Buhlman on December 9, 1932. Russell's life was one of steadfast devotion to his family, his community, and his faith.

A parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Russell's commitment to his faith was unwavering. His daily life reflected the simple joys of his hometown, from his cherished road trips to his routine visits to Family Fare, and the pleasure he took in his regular bicycle rides through the familiar streets of West Branch.

Russell's memory will be forever treasured by his sons, Ken (Amy), Bob (Cathy), and Brian (Tanya) Buhlman; his beloved grandchildren Kennedy, Austin (Haylee), Nicole, Bradley, Kristi, Josh (Vanessa), Brittney (T.J.), Brianna (Jason), Sawyer (Kendall), Callie, Kobe, and Jonathan; his precious thirteen great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; and the extended family at Maplewood Manor who affectionately remember him.

He now rejoins his dearly departed parents, his beloved wife Evelyn, and his sons Joe and Chris, who preceded him in death.

The Buhlman family invites friends and loved ones to gather for visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from noon until the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in West Branch. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.
