Ruby Mae Jordan

Ruby Mae Jordan, age 82 of St. Helen, passed away quietly Friday afternoon August 26, 2016 at home with her family at her side. She was born May 31, 1934 in Minden, WV to James and Nanna Ruby Dixon and later moved to Summerlee, WV where she attended high school. She belonged to the F.B.L.A. and the Glee Club. She later went to work for the F.B.I. in Washington D.C. Ruby sang like a “song bird” as her husband Ted would say. She loved to work in her garden.

Ruby is survived by her husband, Ted Jordan of St. Helen, eight children, Dale Wayne (Amy) Jordan of TX, David William (Diane) Jordan of TX, Sherry Lynn (Tom) Meyer of MI, Sandy Lee (Ronnie) Maynard of WV, Suzy Marie Jordan of FL, Gary James (Lori) Jordan of MI, Scott Edward (Marcie) Jordan of MI, Sally Ann (Tim) Mead of AR, 24 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home will begin Monday, August 29, 2016 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 1:00 PM.
