Roy J. Gildner

Roy J. Gildner, age 72 of West Branch, passed away Friday, January 15, 2010 at his home. Roy had lived in West Branch for all of his life and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from West Branch Concrete after 45 years of service. Roy enjoyed bowling, snowmobiling, motorcycling and hunting. Roy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Darlene of West Branch, whom he married on February 3, 1968, children, Tracy (Ron) Brindley and Roy Gildner Jr. both of West Branch and his grandchildren, Chad age 10 and Kalyston age 4. Also surviving are his siblings, Cecil Gildner, Dave Gildner, Jeanette Gildner and Mary (Ken) Neubecker, all of West Branch, Marjorie Gildner of Naples, FL, Doug (Corrine) Gildner of Prescott and Catherine Gildner of Burton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herb and Iva Gildner. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 2-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
