Roy Gilbert Newman

Roy Gilbert Newman, age 77, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at The Villa at Rose City. He was born on September 25, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Roy and Laura (Dunn) Newman. Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, garage sales, and was an avid outdoorsman. He liked sports, football, baseball and NASCAR.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Darby (Tim) Thorson, Donna (Jeff) Marshall and Dawn (Greg) Lester all of West Branch; grandchildren, Samantha (Matthew) VanDuinen, Nicholas (Aryka) Thorson, Alissa Thorson, Shelby Marshall, Kayla Marshall, Amelya White and Abigayle White; great grandchildren, Philip, Aksyl, Presleigh, Jessa, Quincey and McKenna; siblings, Jo Ann (Lyle) Baldwin, Carolyn (Walter) Kisiel, Patricia Aldrich, Geraldine Newman, Ronald Newman, Robert (Betty) Newman and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and Charles Raymond Newman.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott at 12:00 PM with a luncheon to follow.
