Roy D. Mester

Roy D. Mester, age 67, of West Branch, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2006 at his home after an extended illness. He had lived in West Branch since 1972. He was a past member of the Rods & Relics Car Club and a member of the Churchill United Methodist Church. He retired from the Ogemaw County Road Commission in 1998. Roy is survived by his wife, Doris of West Branch, children; Dean (Lisa) Mester and Debra (Gary) Portes both of Orlando, FL and Dawn (Brian) Weber of Macomb, grandchildren, Ashley, Joshua, Nathan, Jennifer, Tim, Preston and Alexis, his twin brother, Rob Mester of West Branch, and brothers, Walt Mester of Wisconsin and Fred Mester of Bloomfield Hills. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 1-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the funeral home. Rev. Brian Weber will officiate with burial following at Campbell Corner Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands of West Branch or to the American Cancer Society.
