Rosamond “Roie” Audrey Barnhart, age 89, of West Branch, Michigan, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Horizon Senior Living. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Flint, Michigan. Roie married Philip Russell Barnhart on September 25, 1948 at Calvary Methodist Church in Flint, where they raised their five children until 1965, when they moved to Midland, Michigan. She was a faithful, devoted, and loving wife, mother, and Christ-follower, and delighted in her 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Rosamond spent her last eight years in West Branch, where her love and prayers touched the lives of those around her.
Roie is survived by her children, Dr. Jim (Terry) Barnhart of West Branch, Janet (Jock) Tulk of Cheboygan, MI, Terry (Scott) Plaxton of Pickerington, OH, Paul (Katrinka) Barnhart of Walkertown, NC, and Sherry Barnhart of Lansing, MI. Also surviving are her brother, Ralph Holbrook of Grand Blanc, MI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil, daughter, Laura, sister, Ruth Miehm, and grandson, Robert Tulk.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch.
Memorial Contributions can be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Midland or Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch.
