Rosalyn E. "Rosie" Shaltz

Rosalyn E. “Rosie” Shaltz age 84 of West Branch went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday April 17, 2011 at her home. Rosie moved to West Branch in 2003 and was the first official resident of the Brook. She was formerly of Gaylord and the Troy-Rochester area. She enjoyed reading, softball, golfing, bowling, dancing and whistling. Rosie is survived by her children, Nancy Genta of West Branch, Linda (Roger) Berrey of South Carolina, Colleen (Doug) Francis of Gaylord and Robert (Alisha) Yankee of Florida, her son-in-law Lou Genta of Alger, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her 3 stepchildren, Mark (Char) Shaltz, Mike (Kay) Shaltz and Dar Shaw, her sisters, Dorothy Ellsworth and Gerry (Bob) Nikolauzyk and her brother Richard (Helen) Robillard. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Shaltz, her sister and brother in law, Jean and Bill Flaig and her parents. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m. Pastor Bob Mohr will officiate.
