Rodger Lewis Williams, age 64, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, MI. He was born on October 17, 1957 in West Branch, MI to Ross and Alice (Stine) Williams.
Rodger lived in West Branch since 1995, formerly of Hale, MI. On March 18, 1994 he married Theresa Schmitt in West Branch.
Rodger was a police officer for 38 years and served as the police chief for the City of West Branch for 20 years. He was an avid Avenger fan. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, putzing in his pole barn, gardening, and working in his yard. Rodger especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Rodger is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Theresa Williams; daughters, Lindsey Williams and Brittney (Jeremy) Alexander; stepchildren, Kristen Wangler and Jim Wangler; grandchildren, Allandra, Abby, Ruby, Sawyer, and Keara; brothers, Rick (Marge) Williams and Bob Williams; sister-in-law, Sue Westphal; aunt, Ruth Bobzein; and uncle, Gary Williams.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ron Williams.
A private graveside service will be held at Campbell Corners Cemetery in West Branch.
