Robert R. Anthes

Robert R. Anthes, age 64, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at his home. Mr. Anthes resided in West Branch for the past 5 years, formerly of Whitelake, Michigan. He was a chef, a member of the Eagles Lodge of West Branch and a foster father to over 100 children. He and his wife Carolyn adopted 6 children. Surviving family members include Carolyn, his wife of 41 years, daughter Tiffany (Steve) Anthes of Pasadina, Maryland, sons- Mark Anthes of West Branch, John Anthes of West Branch, Paul Anthes of Oscoda, Donny Anthes of Oxford, and daughter Stacy Anthes of Waterford, brother James Anthes of Maryland, sister Lynda (Bob) Curd of Hazel Park, sister Carol Campbell of Marlette and brother Dennis Anthes of Waterford. Also surviving are special friends Karen (Ron) Hobby of Roscommon and many other friends. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be on Friday, April 7, 2006 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Walters officiating. Burial will be at Campbell Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
