Robert Mustafa Salem

Robert Mustafa Salem, age 89, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at his home in St. Helen, MI surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 25, 1934, in Dearborn, MI to Hassan and Ethel (Kozan) Salem. Robert lived in St. Helen since November 2021 formerly of Dearborn.

Robert graduated from Fordson High School in Dearborn in 1952. He worked for the Wayne County Sheriff Department for ten years and the Dearborn Heights City Police for 20 years. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling, classic cars, welding, carpenter work, and mechanical work. He was a HAM Radio enthusiast.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Maria “Joyce” Salem of St. Helen; sons Greg Salem of Dearborn Heights, Jeff (Jody) Salem of St. Helen, and Bob (Debbie) Salem of Redford, MI; grandchildren, Michael Salem of Dearborn, Maria Salem of East Lansing, MI, and Cole Salem of Redford; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Sam and sister Janet.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
