Robert Lewis Miller

Robert Lewis Miller, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at The Brook in West Branch, MI. He lived in West Branch for the summer months for the past 26 years, and wintered in Englewood, FL. Robert was born on August 19, 1920 to Albert and Laura (Davis) Miller in Portsmouth, VA. Robert served in the Navy during World War II. On December 1, 1989, he married Betty Richardson in Englewood, FL. Robert was a member of the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott, MI. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and music. Robert was better known as “Pops” and “Papa” by most of his family.

Robert is survived by his wife, Betty Miller of West Branch, MI; daughter, Vicki Delle Donne of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter in law, Betty Miller of Madison, AL; grandchildren, Stephen (Sarah) Miller, Gregory Nelson, and Anthony (Melissa) Delle Donne; great grandchildren, Joshua, Calleene, Seth, Mary, Anthony Jr. and Carly; great great grandson, Levi Miller; step daughters, Kathleen (Kenneth) VanLoon of Alger, MI, Linda (Leslie) Barkman of Alger, MI; and Renea (Mark) Lewis of Rochester Hills, MI; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Miller; son, Robert J. Miller; and brothers, Albert and William Miller.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Judson Baptist Church in Prescott, MI at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Doug Kennedy will officiate.
