Robert L. "Bobby" Kartes

Robert L. “Bobby” Kartes, age 73, of Pinconning, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Bortz Health Care in Rose City with his family by his side. Mr. Kartes had lived in Pinconning since 1962. He was a member of Outdoor Adventures Resort and he enjoyed the outdoors, raising pigs, hunting, flowers, camping, talking and meeting new people. Mr. Kartes is survived by his wife, Jean of Pinconning, children; Duane (Elaine) Kartes of Brighton, CO., Roger (Betty) Kartes of Linwood, Ronald Kartes of Harrison, AS, and Gail (Carl) Seder of Alger, grandchildren; Amber, Ashley, Jason, Sarah, Joshua, Logan, Matthew, Michael, Katie, Alyssa, Matthew and Maleasa and great-grandchildren, Darren and Alani. Also surviving are his brothers, Fred (Mary) Ackerman and Dennis (Shirley) Ackerman and his sister, Josie (Brian) Daniels all of Grand Rapids and his beloved dog Lady. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie Kort, his brother, Harry Ackerman and his sister Marie Woods. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, August 24, 2007 from 3-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 25, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
