Robert J. Tetu

Robert J. Tetu, age 83, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Bob was a resident of Palmetto, Florida since 1993, formerly of Traverse City and West Branch, Michigan. He was a member of the BPO Elks #2449 of Palmetto, FL, the American Legion, Kirby Stewart Post #24 of Bradenton, FL and St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. He retired from Consumers Power Company after 37 years of service. Surviving family members include his daughter Michele (Rick) Ahrent of West Branch, son Brad J. (Cathy) of Traverse City; 3 grandchildren, Trisha (Dan) Beamish of Traverse City, Tracey (Greg) Wood of West Branch and Jessica Yeckley of Traverse City; great-granddaughter, Rylea Ann Beamish of Traverse City; brothers Frank (Marlene) Tetu of Midland, Michigan, Mark (Linda) Tetu of West Branch, his sister-in-law, Hope (Shoemaker) Meiresonne of Traverse City and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita in 2000, son Michael R. Tetu in 1999 and sister M. Monica Orr in 1998. Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday. A scripture service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2006 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Robert Bissot will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch, Michigan.
