Robert H. "Bob" Surbrook

Robert H. “Bob” Surbrook, age 89 of West Branch, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Robert was born December 30, 1922 in St. Charles, MI. He married Marilyn Fay Nielsen on August 28, 1948 in Saginaw. Robert had lived in West Branch since 1954, formerly of Bay City. Robert was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, American Legion, life member of the N.R.A., original member of Ogemaw County Sheriff Posse, and was in the Royal Order of Jesters with the Shriners. Robert was a U.S. Army Air Corp WWII Veteran. He loved camping and belonged to the Starcraft Camper Club of Michigan and the Wildwood Wheelers. Robert is survived by wife, Marilyn of West Branch, son, Mark (Deanna) Surbrook of West Branch, granddaughter, Alison (A.J.) Carrick, grandsons, Jeremy Surbrook, Zachary Cahill, Matthew Cahill, Tyler Cahill, and great-grandson, Reilly Carrick. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, March 26, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
