Robert F. Bragg, age 68 of Rose City died Friday February 11,2005 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bragg was born May 29, 1936 to Roy and Irene Bragg. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in West Branch in 1954. He enlisted in the Navy and served for four years. Upon honorable discharge, he worked his civilian life as an electronics technician and computer operator/specialist and retired in 1991 as a manager of computer operations for the U.S. Government TAXOM in Warren, Michigan. Upon retirement he returned to West Branch and soon settled at a residence in Rose City.
Mr. Bragg was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend quality time hunting, fishing and camping. He was a very caring person with a great sense of humor that could easily brighten your day. Even in sickness he maintained his resolve and dignity.
Surviving are his wife Alice (Schmitt/Greene) of Rose City; children Stan (Shellie) Bragg of Fenton, Dawn (John) Niedermiller of St. Clair Shores, Jerry of Sarasota, Florida and Bobby of Clinton Township; step-daughters Rhonda (James) Kaczynski of Auburn and Lynette (Matt) Meiser of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Also surviving are two grandchildren Kayla and Kelsey Bragg of Fenton, five step-grandchildren Keegan, Kyra and Kiana Kaczynski of Auburn and Morgan and Noah Meiser of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Four sisters survive Mr. Bragg; Neva (Leon) Gehl, Lucille Miller, Janet (Tom) Schmitt and Karen (Bill) Hock, all from West Branch.
Mr. Bragg was preceded in death by his sister Norma Schneider.
Visitation at Steuernol McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Monday February 14 from 1-9 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Tuesday February 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Father Miro D. Wiese OFM will officiate.
